Conference Blogging the hard way I am at the OECD conference on eLearning in Calgary, Alberta for the publication of this work. I am looking around the room and noticing that very few people are using laptops to take their notes. If people are taking notes at all, they are using the deluxe pen and paper set distributed to all attendees ;-). David Porter from BCCampus is here and is using Ecto (!) to jot down his thoughts. Unfortunately, there is very limited wireless access in the room (read: none) and I worry that the lack of connectivity will result in lost blog post opportunities. There does appear to be at least one other person covering the meeting though. A quick survey of the Bonjour users on the network reveals a couple of Mac Users and at least one of them has a blog with far better coverage of the meeting than I have been able to manage! Strong note to conference organisers: Wireless is more important than food! 10:37:34 PM | # | |
