rdiff-backup looks like a nice, no-hassle mirror/backup solution. Intrafile differencing is something Retrospect can't do for the most part as seeks on tape are so slow.

A nice summary with some useful tips about the zsh shell. zsh and tcsh are the two shells provided with Mac OS X, and personally I can't see many reasons to use tcsh. bash will also be included in OS X 10.2 as the default 'sh', because it is more compatible than zsh. 7:38:43 PM | reply []

Had an idea of how to do automatic updating last night; it took a while but here it is:

CUPS in Mac OS X: YES! YES! Thank you! I was thinking for a long time how wonderful it would be to have CUPS support in OS X, and now here it is. It will make a huge difference to OS X's broken printing architecture. 2:56:04 AM | reply []
