The other day, I was stuck in Newark's Penn station and on an Amtrak train from Newark to Philadelphia (usually around 1 hour) for around three hours, because of a catenary failure. (Our taxes subsidize air traffic, and road traffic; why doesn't rail get its fair share?). I was carrying Quantum Computation and Quantum Information by Nielsen and Chuang. It looks like a winner. Just the introductory chapter is clearer and more informative than anything I had read before. 9:52:32 PM |
