Risks of having a distinctive surname (Via RISKS Digest.) Mr. Zaba owns zaba.com, and complains of being confused with a new people search service, zabasearch.com, which is causing much consternation and complaint email directed incorrectly to Mr. Zaba by listing names, addresses, and other particulars of people who do not want to be found. But zabasearch.com itself seems to make name confusions too. I am listed, but with some particulars wrong, including birth date. Either they are mining incorrect databases, or merging records they should not merge. I guess that I should thank them for not confusing me with one of the FBI's most wanted, who has my first and last names. |
