From the Shareware Industry, Lessons on Keeping Downloaders Honest. Washington Post Mar 17 2002 1:48PM ET [Moreover - moreover...]
Actually a pretty balanced article. What Ambrosia seems to have done is get almost 50% of the people that register to actually pay for the software. The article states that a 1-5% rate is great. Seems like Ambrosia has figured out a way to deal with pirates. The article lists 2 great rules and they are sooo true. 9:55:37 AM

Monkey meat riddled with SIV. HIV's ancestor common in African bushmeat. [Nature Science Update]
Of course, our gut is designed to prevent viral infection from the food we eat. However, getting the blood from infected animals into an open wound would certainly be worrisome. Many of our common diseases (flu, smallpox, measles) probably came from our domestication of animals. We got them from these animals so I guess it is not too suprising that we got HIV from monkeys that are eaten. 9:38:25 AM

Okay, I've been off trying to get Radio and RCS tested at my company. It is hard to get some of the ideas across until people actually do it but there are lots of opportunities for this technology in a biotech setting. But my son is home sick so I have some time to blog from home. 9:20:12 AM
