Morons in the News: Pledge of Allegiance to be made mandatory in PA. If you're a student in Pennsylvania and you don't want to say the Pledge in school, be willing to explain it to your parents... [Morons Dot Org]
Dan Quayle once said that we had freedom in this country because a student was free to say the Pledge. This was in response to a question about whether a student was free not to say it. Of course, "freedom" that doesn't give you any choice isn't freedom at all, and a "pledge" that is forced upon someone isn't worth the breath it takes to say it.
