Reasonable Copyright
Lawrence Lessig has launched a very important petition that calls on Congress to require copyright holders to pay $1 to renew their rights in a work after 50 years. This would go a long way to restoring a commons of public thought. You can sign the petition here. Do it now, if not for your own freedom of thought, then for your children and grandchildren's. Good idea, but as the FCC decision shows, a fat lot of good that petitions and public opinion are doing today.
