There was an article in the Los Angeles Times yesterday that was relevant to the Crusaders' propaganda about Iraq (unfortunately it's not available on the horrible Times website.) Apparently the UN inspecters found out that Saddam had given orders to use chemical and biological weapons only if the US attacked with nuclear weapons. Funny how the policy of an allegedly insane dictator sounds just like the polices of every other country with "weapons of mass destruction"--except for the US, which has always had the policy that nuclear weapons might be used in sufficiently desperate circumstances even if the other side hadn't used them.

Bill Walker at Laissez Faire Electronic Times - Putting Government in a Strait Jacket - the constitutional meme has failed as a way to keep government in control. Mr. Walker explores some other ideas for putting the straight-jacket back on. [grabbe] [End the War on Freedom]

None of them are particularly realistic or effective, I'm afraid.
