From the Now-For-OS-Support Dept:

Namber DNS [DECAFBAD]

One for MAC addresses would be nice as well... along with vendor support. Ever try to get someone to read those over the phone? Especially a non-technical person? Try it... you might not enjoy it.

However, the problem is complicated by IPv6. More addresses require longer IP address (and, in the case of IPv6, really long IP addresses).

From the Hurry-Hurry Dept:

Apple offers Integrating OS X On Campus Classes.

Coming from a school that was planning a switch to Active Directory (and the headaches in implementing it... a whole new way of looking at DNS, for one. The DNS implementation is slightly better now (your DNS name didn't use to move with you if you took your laptop to another sub-net - now it does), but for a while there it wasn't much fun.

From the breaking-the-abstraction Dept:

Dear UserLand,

Please do better parsing of the entry field in Radio, so I don't have to go diving into weblogData.root to fix a post that has a syntax error at the end of it.

Thank you

From the Obscure References Dept:

Cthulhu

Odd that the OS X spell checker doesn't recognize that word. No creative suggestions either. Oh well...

From the Must-Hurry Dept:

Hmmm.. rumor around the net is that registration for MacHack is filling up. I've got to decide if I'm going this year or not. (I'd like to).

Got a lot of very cool information last year... probably understand even more of it this year (that's the pleasure of learning, I guess).

From the pretty-numbers Dept:

Today is 03-03-03. It only happens the first 12 years of every century, and that's pretty cool.
