Since I know you're all excited to see some of my pictures from the day we spent touring DC (and since I took about 60 digital pictures while I was there), I'll try to post one or two a day until I run out of really good ones.

This pool thing is somewhere in the mall between the washington monument and the Lincoln Memorial/Reflecting Pool. Off the main path, we kind of stumbled upon it - and there were no obvious signs describing it.

So I'm not sure what it was. It's not the reflecting pool, since that was further on down the path (and, oddly enough, drained). However, it does have some picturesque quality to it, I think.
