Charlie's Diary: The High Frontier, Redux.

In Summary: Interplanetary Colonization is hard. Extra-planetary Colonization is probably impossible in 2007.

As far as my thoughts go: as a professional in a field that was science fiction (and out of the park scifi at that) more than 50 years ago, I can't help thinking how far technology has come in 100 years (or more). If we project that out another 100 years, maybe those problems will be solved? (Imagine what even faster/better space propulsion would do: Colonizing Mars would be much easier if it was a few weeks - rather than 6 months - away).
