Sometimes the world is so beautiful...

...that I could scream.

I was walking on Capitol Hill with my friend A-, when I was transfixed by a Japanese maple with early evening sunlight slanting through its leaves. Sometimes when I'm driving (alone) in my car, I find myself yelling at the top of my lungs at some passing wonder of beauty "You are so incredibly gorgeous!"

It's not as if the universe requires my acknowledgment or approval. But it's as if I find that I am obligated to give a shout-out by my very own nature.
