New York Times reviewer Stephen Holden had the same experience I did:
It was just days ago that United States officials suggested that suicide bombings are inevitable on American targets. And as the film's fictional depiction of events leading up to a small nuclear blast (in Baltimore) unfolded at a recent press screening, the audience sat riveted in silence.
"Riveted" may or may not be the right adjective.
The rest of the review isn't exactly a rave, but it's not a slam either. I still think (see Bad Timing) that even Ben Affleck isn't going to get BAMA girls to buy tickets to this one.
