On Sunday my brother, his wife, son and I took his boat from West Islip to Montauk. We met some of their friends and we "armadaed" it out to where they were all mooring for a few days. I went along just for the ride. I have been out to Montauk Point twice before and on those prior trips I did see the lighthouse from the land. Here is the lighthouse as we go around the eastern tip of Long Island.

Everything looks different when you are on a boat. This is the Captree Bridge.

The honky-tonk ends very quickly and the boardwalk becomes the front walk of the houses along it is pretty neat.

More of Pt. Pleasant boardwalk.
I haven't mastered the art of writing a photo essay from the bottom up; or posting multiple pictures at a time (they line up very strangely when I do) so I have to do them one at a time. This process is very counter intuitive when I am lazy as I am now.

Last Saturday took NJTransit to Point Pleasant on the Jersey Shore. Having never been to the shore, I was very pleasantly surprised.
