I was at South Street Port's Pier 17 on Friday evening. It had lights and food. It also seemed to have the rest of the people from Chinatown. I was on third floor balcony looking uptown when a big part of the eastern section of Chinatown between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges just came to life with light.
The picture below shows the Brooklyn Bridge in the foreground completely lit with the half lighted Manhattan Bridge; just power from the Brooklyn side.
