Shaving

Do you remember your first fumbling steps shaving?

Probably not.

Mine is coming back to me as our eldest son stumbles through the process. It's rather interesting to watch and try to be helpful, but mostly he's going to have to deal with this himself. It's all a part of the process of learning who he is.

He hadn't bothered in more than a month and my wife was kind enough to point out to him that he was going to shave tonight. It didn't turn out too well. His first real blood (it was bleeding pretty well), lots of clumps of missed stuff because it had been a while. Lots to learn here, but he picked up a lot of subtle driving concepts more quickly than I did; he'll catch on.

The next time you think you want to be 16 again, think about razor blades and acne. Ouch, I'll pass.

The evolution of a family

A family over time... I wish I could remember where I wandered across this link... but alas I don't. It's pretty neat!
