3:51:41 PM  [ @ 869 ]  Referer or Referrer?

BTW, this is from Dictionary.com's entry for "referer":

referer

<World-Wide Web> A misspelling of "referrer" which somehow made it into the HTTP standard. A given web page's referer (sic) is the URL of whatever web page contains the link that the user followed to the current page. Most browsers pass this information as part of a request.

3:43:17 PM  [ @ 863 ]  My fifteen minutes of weblog fame

So I look at my referrer log and see hundreds of hits coming in from Dave's website, www.scripting.com. Wow... what's going on? Turns out Dave noticed my little tutorial on OPML lists and mentioned it in his weblog.

It's kind of like my fifteen minutes of weblog fame. I hope some of you stick around.

Welcome!

I'll be away next week, so don't think I've abandoned my weblog. Soon, I'll have a new category dedicated solely to the art of negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution. In addition to my technical stuff, of course.

Enjoy, and let's all push Dave to get moving and wrap up the OPML subscription code.
