Umm..  I read this in his autobiography, why is it news now?  His experience at Mecca was a life-changing experience for Malcolm, one that he describes fairly eloquently in his autobiography.  People who only see the public image of Malcolm probably are never aware of his pilgrimage and the impact that it had on his life.  Read a bit, peeps!
