Jackson learning to smile
Jackson is learning to smile. Last night and this morning, he makes very distinct facial expressions when he sees us. We're starting to play games with him (peekaboo-like), where he makes eye contact, then looks away, or we hide, then we reconnect. it isn't quite a smile like we normally visualize it, but more a "baring of gums and squinting of eyes" kinda look... very cute! Hoping to capture some of it on video over the weekend.

There's another clear state that Jackson goes into... when the three of us go out (for dinner, etc), we'll put him in his car seat, and I'll sling it around my neck as we walk down the stairs. The last dozen times or so, his eyes get really wide and he becomes very alert and attentive... looking up directly at me as we cross the threshold of our home into the hall and down the stairs. He starts to look around as we approach the basement and out the back door... also very cute! I should try to capture that on video as well.

BTW, he's bigger too... i guess almost 10 lbs now. He's not interested in the supplimentary formula these days, so the milk supply and his demand seem to be synchronizing much better now.
