Big Sur Evening
After working until past 1:00 am on Wednesday night,
I was due for an earlier departure ... Friday, Deb & I
took off at 3:30 and drove down to Big Sur.
We had an artwork on layaway at the Hawthorne Gallery,
and it was well past time to pick it up.
As the days grow longer, it's nice to get some time to
check out the beautiful scenery; we had daylight all the
way down there. Deb visited the Phoenix gift shop while
I watched the sunset from the deck up at the Nepenthe
restaurant. That area is so close (90 minutes' drive)
and so beautiful that I'm often wondering why we don't
go visit there more often.
