KDDI, Japan's second largest network operator, is launching a new service which enables users to charge purchases of physical goods to their cellular accounts. Premium EZ Payment will be supported by a new shopping portal designed mobile devices, which will launch on 3rd July 2003. KDDI is working with a range of partners to facilitate the launch. It has setup a partnership with eCash Corporation to enable retailers to rapidly make their goods available for purchase through KDDI's mobile portal.
