2003 Denver Mayoral Election
From e-mail today, "This Friday, February 21st, 'The Aaron Harber Show' completes a two-part special broadcast series on the Denver Mayor's race with its broadcast from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm on KBDI Channel 12. This starting time is half hour earlier than usual (i.e., 9:00 pm rather than 9:30 pm) and the program is a full hour in length (rather than its usual one-half hour time). The program also will be broadcast in full from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 23rd (also for a full hour)."
They go on to say, "Please notify your viewers, readers, colleagues, and friends as soon as possible of these temporary changes." I wonder if they mean readers of weblogs?

2003 Denver Mayoral Election
Sue Casey plans to reorganize the budget office after the election. She intend's to use an approach to city government that is in place in Baltimore from this article in the Denver Post. Casey was quoted by the Post as saying, "I will use this tool to collect data and analyze all aspects of service delivery, department by department, measure results and hold managers accountable - not yearly, quarterly or monthly, but week to week." Interesting idea. I wonder what the software will cost, what equipment will be needed, will it replace or enhance PeopleSoft, and what agency will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance? Here's the link to the Denver Rocky Mountain News coverage. She seems to be after the Department of Safety since it comprises 42% of the annual budget. They've been in the limelight lately with controversy stemming from an officer working a second job while on city time. The biggest problem it seems is record keeping.
