2004 Presidential Election
After going 0 for 9 in the early primaries and caucuses, Howard Dean is drawing a line in the sand in Wisconsin. He's asking supporters to raise dough of course and they're doing a great job. I wonder if they'll back John Kerry or any other nominee as Dean has promised he will?
Here's an article from the New Republic about the Dean campaign and their ability to raise dough. Thanks to Taegan Goddard for the link. From the article, "Even if tending to the grassroots hasn't netted Dean much electoral support, though, it does pay the bills. Even now, as Dean loses state after state, his campaign is still raising as much as a quarter of a million dollars per day online. The Internet failed miserably as an organizing tool in Iowa, yet Dean still managed to raise more money after his distant third-place finish there than John Edwards did following his strong second."
The polls have not been way off since Iowa and New Hampshire so it's not looking good for Dean's last stand as reported by the Daily Kos.
Blogs for Bush is taking on the imminent threat meme.
