MakesMeRalph is pointing to Tenneseans for Tancredo. Someone named Tennessee Republican posted this in the Coyote Gulch comments: "Cong. Tancredo is a true patriot. I hope he runs for president. The American people are fed up with illegal immigration. I want our borders secured and enforced. I do not want any form of amnesty for illegal aliens." The Congressman has a fan club back there.

Bull Moose: "These folks are only playing into the hands of the Rovians and the Delayicans. Michael Moore could have orchestrated this event. By promoting this type of conspiracy mongering, the opposition to the war simply discredits itself. While W. suffers from Johnsonitis, some lefties suffer from Mooreitis - an inclination to engage in conspiracy when the facts will suffice."

Political Wire: "'Some conservative activists are suggesting that a controversial new biography about Sen. Hillary Clinton will help dash any presidential aspirations she might have,' the New York Times reports. 'The financing for a conservative Web site that is promoting the book comes partly from Richard Mellon Scaife, a longtime foe of the Clintons who tapped his fortune in the 1990's to finance a project at The American Spectator magazine to dig up damaging information about the couple.'"

Boston Globe: "Governor Mitt Romney yesterday endorsed a grass-roots effort to pass a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in Massachusetts in 2008, abandoning his support for what he called a ''muddied' compromise measure that would also ban gay marriages but allow gays to enter into civil unions. Romney, who is courting conservative voters for a possible presidential run in 2008, said the newly proposed ban would give voters a chance to consider a 'clean, straightforward, unambiguous amendment' that does not include civil unions."
