Colorado Water
State Representative Matt Smith, a Republican from Grand Junction, has introduced a bill to create a South Metro Water District, according to the Rocky Mountain News [January 16, 2004, "Measure would unite south metro water districts"]. From the article, "The agency would be charged with managing existing nonrenewable underground supplies and helping the districts develop a plan to tap renewable mountain waters using Denver Water's system."
