Colorado Water
The U.S. Forest Service has a new plan that will end any chance of building Two Forks Reservoir, according to the Denver Post [February 2, 2004, "Feds' plan champions South Platte"]. The troubled dam plan had been opposed by most Denver residents and was denied a Federal Clean Water permit in the past. There had been rumblings about resurrecting the project to add more Front Range water storage since the current drought and to help accomodate the Colorado's burgeoning population.
