The Rocky Mountain News is patting Aurora on the back for getting serious about cooperation with the farming communities where they are buying water [October 10, 2005, "Aurora takes control of water destiny"]. They write, "The recent drought concentrated minds on the need to find new ways to manage scarce and precious water in Colorado's semi- arid climate.
