Democrat Gary Lindstrom is officially in the race for Governor, according to the Pueblo Chieftain. They write, "Gary Lindstrom, a freshman state representative and former coroner, is joining the Democratic race for governor, saying the state needs a vision to control out-of-control growth...Lindstrom said he wants to see development slow down along the Interstate 25 corridor on the Front Range and focus on attracting more industry to the Western Slope, where there is more water." Good idea.

Bill Ritter has picked up new endorsments, according to the Rocky Mountain News [December 3, 2005, "Key Dems throw support to Ritter"]. From the article, "It took a two-hour breakfast, six pages of questions and a series of phone calls to turn Democrat Paul Sandoval around. The north Denver businessman - who once said he'd consider voting for the Republican in the gubernatorial race if former Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter got the Democratic nomination - now has a different opinion...Also seeing Ritter in a new light is Butch Montoya, Denver's former manager of public safety."

Bob Beauprez was stumping in Pueblo yesterday, according to the Pueblo Chieftain. From the article, "As for running for governor, Beauprez said Colorado is poised on the edge of a new economic boom - that new technology would make oil sand reserves under the state a major source of energy for the nation in the future. He also said Colorado's high technology industries, including space-related industries, should be a source of new growth. He said his goal as governor would be to keep the state's taxes and regulatory burden as low as possible...Asked what changes he would advocate, Beauprez said he intended to put together task forces to look at the major issues facing the state, such as water resources, public education and health care."
