U.S. Senator Wayne Allard endorsed Bob Beauprez for governor yesterday, according to the Denver Post. From the article, "Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez on Monday nabbed the endorsement of U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard, a step that may help him going into the GOP state assembly in May. Allard's backing of Beauprez over the other Republican candidate, Marc Holtzman, was an unusual move for Colorado's senior senator, who tends to avoid involving himself in primaries. But this time, Allard said, was different. 'It is important that we have the right governor leading us,' he said. 'I would encourage all Republicans to turn out and vote for Bob Beauprez in the primary.'"
