Denver November 2004 Election

Attorney General Ken Salazar started running a new TV ad yesterday, according to the Rocky Mountain News [August 27, 2004, "Salazar strikes back at 'Cyanide' spot"]. From the article, "Salazar's ad began running statewide Thursday and extols his environmental record. In addition, the League of Conservation Voters will unveil an ad today that commends Salazar's record and denounces the "Cyanide Salazar" spot that first aired Tuesday. Salazar's campaign called his ad a positive comeback to the attack by the Virginia-based Americans for Job Security, a trade group originally funded by the insurance industry."

It looks like Salazar and Pete Coors have another opponent in the U.S. Senate race. From the Rocky, "'I'm an independent Republican. I don't agree with Bill Owens. I don't agree with Ken Salazar. Water, water, water, is my issue.' Joyce Broughton, 48, of Cañon City, an official write-in candidate for the U.S. Senate. She faces Salazar and Gov. Owens' pick, Republican Pete Coors."

Here's an article about Salazar and Coors and PAC money from the Denver Post [August 27, 2004, "Early tally has Salazar far ahead in PAC money"].

Update: Colorado Luis: "Great news from Moving America Forward, a group dedicated to Latino and Indian voter registration in 'battleground states, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Florida.'"

Update: Stan Matsunaka made the final Dean Dozen along with Jay Fetcher. Mr. Fetcher is using Movable Type for his website. Very smart. Easy to use and customize, all the publishing plumbing already built-in.
