Epinions.com: Amber Triple IPA -- Piraat Ale from Belgium. The Bottom Line - First taste was a winner. And a surprise.

I almost gave up on this one as I quickly and unwisely poured, and got "a huge head of white foam...". But decided to overcome my initial fear, backed carefully away from the scary, fully carbonated glass on the counter, and did a google search, which led us to the so far dead-on Epinion linked to above.

Reevaluated based on the new info and snapped the picture below in anticipation of the first drink. Oooohhhhh. Yep, the rest of the review looks on also. Except this blurb sounds a little like love happenin'

"The palate was malty, loaded with with fruity (stone fruit), butter and honey flavors. In the mouth, this ale is sweet and creamy, with some warmth in the finish."

This is the third beer from the Belgian Beers From Flanders sampler set that has kicked it. Thanks Jeff H.
