U.S. government to boost IT spending. At a time when many industries are still curtailing spending on high technology, there's one industry that's helping out: the federal government. [CNET News.com]

"U.S. government spending on information systems and services will grow 11 percent annually from $37.1 billion in fiscal 2002 to $63.3 billion in fiscal 2007, Input's report says."

This looks like something I'm going to try for our trip. Only $11.95 for 8 hours worth of stories. And it looks like you can download and burn on CD. Now, if I can only burn them at a lower compression and fit the entire 8 hours on 1 CD (of MP3s or such).
