Blur: I'm sitting here watching the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics, which seem to have been going on for about forty-five years now. Tanya Harding didn't light the big torch, like Bruce (manning the local Red Cross blog) wanted, but hey. Anyway, I've got this DishTV satellite setup, which looks good most of the time. But it seems more and more often to have a picture that looks like low-quality .jpg in motion. Black backgrounds are full of blotches and other compression artifacts. The other day I watched a TV getting a nice straight analog signal and it looked so ... different and, excuse me, natural.
