Over the weekend we sponsored Aaron Schwartz to add RSS enclosures support to the Python version of Orchard.
Ken Macleod, who controls the main Orchard distribution, hasn't integrated it in yet, but if you want a copy of the enhanced RSS module, let me know.

I just got a phone call from somebody at Mass High Tech and scheduled an interview with them for Thursday at 2PM for around 15 min. The subject is "10 high-tech people to watch in Maine" or something like that -- apparently I've been selected as one.
Not sure how that happened, but it should be fun.
I've run across a couple more bugs in Radio Userland's code for enclosures. It chokes if the URL for the enclosure has spaces in it -- which is true for a lot of mp3 files.
On Mac OS X (and I assume Mac OS 9 although I hanven't checked) it also chokes on filenames longer than 31 characters.
In the meantime we're working on our own alternative RSS download engine so that interested users can get the best of Emergent Music downloaded onto their hard drives overnight without buying Radio.
