If you're considering upgrading your Mac OS X installation to version 10.2 (Jaguar), my advice is to wait for at least the first point release. I've been following the threads on the various Mac sites, and the overall impression I come away with is that it isn't stable enough. A lot of people are having problems with Microsoft Office, there are problems with disappearing text in other apps, Apple's Help Viewer goes into a "spinning pizza of death", there are crashes on waking from sleep, etc.
I'm as eager to upgrade as anybody but I can't afford to waste time with an unstable release. When enough of these problems are resolved I'll upgrade and report on it here.
