David Watson. Looks like Sam Ruby is using CocoBlog. Sorry to disappoint, but CocoBlog is still on my todo list. Hopefully I'll work down my backlog once I return home. However, I also feel that I should say that my current intention is to play with blosxom first.

A sliver of the creative dynamics and hacker mentality here at the ETCON: OSX users are running EtherPEG to spy on all of us, so the guy who played his accordion to get through customs decides to create spam by simply cycling through pictures. Meanwhile Ben Hammerley posts a live webcam. All this is discussed on IRC channel #etcon at irc.openprojects.net... Cool!

The most interesting thing I found about Dave's session was the Q&A from the audience (and I suspect that's exactly how Dave would want it). What amazed me most is that things I take for granted like RSS and referrers and how other experienced bloggers seem to be just discovering such concepts.

Chris Rathman: (ECMA-335) hopefully the standard is somewhat stable at this point in time. It is. It is also on track for submission to ISO. I say that as a participant without a personal stake in the outcome.

Met Dave Winer for the first time yesterday. In person, he is a very gregarious individual.
