Office Doofuses. I guess we're friends with Microsoft now, and even though we're direct competitors in the office-suite space, because we're friends I'm gonna pass on some free advice. Please show your developers and customers some respect and get those incredibly-lame Great Moments At Work ads off the air. The message, insofar as there is one, is that people who work in offices are clueless doofuses, and that being around Microsoft Office will encourage poor grooming, juvenile behavior, and generally coming across like a complete moron. Microsoft is a smart company, and smart companies shouldn't run dumb ads. It disgraces our whole profession. [ongoing]
This is further proof that Micro$ucks is dumb and so are its users... I mean, look at them! Look at them!

Every copy of Reason customized with sat photos of subscribers' homes. The next ish of Reason magazine will be mailed out to 40,000 subscribers, with 40,000 custom covers, each bearing a satellite photo of the individual subscriber's neighborhood, with the subscriber's house circled. The point? "Everybody, including our magazine, has been harping on the erosion of privacy and the fears of a database nation. It is a totally legit fear. But they make our lives unbelievably easier as well, in terms of commercial transactions, credit, you name it."

The Secret Source of Google's Power is the best article I have read about Google in a long time. Yes, tehy are leveraging a scale that will permit them to offer things competitors can't and that includes Micro$ucks... That's why everybody is so scared, they are late to a game that will be very profitable in the future...
[Thanks Omar!]
