I've said it before but today is worth repeating. The main problem in Venezuela is not politics but the selfish character of its people. Everybody thinks for themselves, doesn't matter how it affects others (that's not important). That's how we ended up having holes and speed bumps in the streets. Holes are a sign of passively not caring for others, while speed bumps are a sign of actively not caring for others. Everybody is in a hurry and will take advantage of the opportunities to break the law. Doesn't matter if others are delayed because of it. Venezuelans are capable of cutting in front of an ambulance in order to gain a few seconds they don't need. That's how much life is valued here. There are exceptions, of course, but this is the rule...
