Chavez says US drug agents spying. Venezuela's president accuses the US Drug Enforcement Administration of using its agents to spy on the country. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition]
This is actually an interesting development. This will help the flow of drugs through Venezuela which may end up in being a huge win for the ruler party pocket. It will also revitalize construction and... perhaps become the final drop in the bucket for the administration. Will the US press for sanctions? Will they stop buying our oil or selling us stuff? Will they, at least, get angry? Fidel is accused in some circles of helping and protecting drug traffickers. I've heard that the higher standard of living in Cuba can be found looking for people that are persecuted as criminals in other countries. Venezuela would be perfect for that since there are so many "nouveau rich" already...
