Ah, now here's some worthwhile trivia. When I was still a pre-teen I remember writing in my diary that I liked watching Hockey Night in Canada because the theme music was so great. Really. This does not make me a typcial Canadian but it sure tells me something about where my priority's were.

Then sometime in the 80's I watched a game and was horrified to hear the theme played on synthesizers instead of by the original big band. I think they've changed it back by now.

It's particularly cool to find out the composer is a woman.
