THE NEXT X / Apple's operating system upgrade an excellent alternative to Windows XP but leaves room for improvement Impressive as Mac OS X 10.1 is, I don't think most users will -- or should - - make it their primary system until their key applications are available for it.
I'vce got Eudora and a number of web browsers. Palm's sync software is on its way. I'd have to buy a new FMP. I'd have a hard time working with out Frontier and Radio though. Frontier has a X version but it ain't free! It's a big investement moving to a new OS.

Bankruptcy filing imminent for Excite@Home - Tech News - CNET.com Excite@Home, the leading provider of broadband Internet access, is expected to file a pre-packaged bankruptcy filing late Friday that calls for AT&T to acquire its high-speed network, according to sources.

Free wireless Net access for the masses - Tech News - CNET.com Tim Pozar used to speak only rarely to his neighbors in San Francisco's foggy Sunset district, but that changed the day he hung out a wireless antenna and welcomed the world to use his high-speed Internet line.
Interesting. The thought ran through my brain a couple of weeks ago. 'If I had AirPort Station and my neighbour had an Airport card . . . .'

AppleScript - Toolbar Scripts To use the Toolbar Scripts, place the scripts in a convenient folder .... Open this folder and drag the icons of the scripts you want to use to the Finder Toolbar in the folder's window. Your setup is complete. The scripts will now be easily accessible in any Finder window.
Ooooh. I've invested a lot of time in learning UserLand's scripting language. But I don't know that this will be as useful now that Apple has really gotten on the scripting bandwagon and moved it agressively to OS X.
