Chicago Tribune: Broadband dream hits snag. After years of extolling the nirvana awaiting us once American households get so-called broadband connectivity to the Web, telecommunications executives have become deeply frustrated that a lot of Internet users are saying no thanks. [Tomalak's Realm]
Interesting! I'd love to have broadband at home, but I don't. Why? It's a lot of extra money. I'm not home enough to take advantage of it. I spend a LOT of time at work where I do have a high-speed connection.
I've also heard enough stories about lousy service that I'd like to see this issue resolved before I decide on a service provider.
Dial-up at home is fine for now.
If the kids lived with me and we had another computer here, I'd be giving it a harder look in the near future.
