Classics Today - AZULAO
[Isabel Bayrakdarian] is a world-class singer, a performer with prodigious communicative instincts and superlative technical ability. In these wonderfully colorful and evocative songs, many of which are rarely heard on concert stages or on recordings, she displays a commanding presence, using her considerable dramatic skills to enliven each song with appropriately varied personalities and moods, from playful to passionate to wistful to sultry to melancholy--whatever is required to convey sense and spirit of music and text. [...] The sound, from Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio, is absolutely right.

Tuning in to Radio's wavelength
When one of my editors at Sams was still mystified by Radio after reviewing a dozen chapters of the manuscript, I added a new Chapter 1, Tuning In to Radio UserLand, simply to explain why I'm so geeked about the software. I put the chapter online this morning, and I hope that people who are curious about Radio will give it a read, even if they have no intention of publishing with the software. April 19: RSS Neighborhood event: Sunnyvale, California
Scott Young of UserLand is hosting a RSS Neighborhood event at Borders in Sunnyvale, CA from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. on April 26. The discussion largely broke into internal vs. external corporate use with the general feeling that internal use would happen before widespread external application. [Scott Young's Radio Weblog]

Macworld Secrets Digital Hub: Give iMovie New Powers
Apple's iMovie 4 includes dozens of visual effects, scene transitions, and title formats. Used tastefully and sparingly, these extras add finesse to a movie and lend a professional touch. But some projects require something a little more creative than what iMovie's built-in tools can provide. [MacCentral]
