Start and stop Quicktime Player with mouse clicks

I found out that you can start and stop a movie in QuickTime Player by clicking on the movie picture. A single-click will stop a playing movie, while a double-click will play/continue.

Furthermore, what I find very useful is...

Implement two-finger scrolling on some older laptops

I found a good guide about how to enable two finger scrolling on pre-2005 iBooks and PowerBooks.

It won't work for all PowerBooks and iBooks, but it does include instructions on how to check if it will work for your machine....

Pew Internet & American Life Project
”We just got the results of the survey we took between January 13 and February 9 and for the first time asked a question to find out how many American adults have iPods or MP3 players. The answer is 11% -- or more than 22 million of those who are age 18 and older. It’s safe to say that there are several million more MP3 players owned in the teen world, but we did not survey teens in this poll.”

Motorola Challenges Radio (All Kinds)

Motorola shows off iRadio at the DEMO show. The iRadio is a portable music player and cell phone that will interface with a car and a PC, and include PC-based software that allows streaming content from the music subscription service that’s part of the offering.

[snip] Limited non-music services will be available via the cell phone side of things while traveling, but music needs to be pre-stored. Apple will also integrate iTunes, in some fashion, with this phone.

And it’s a cell phone, just by the way, that has built in Bluetooth and USB.

The unit will cost less than $100 with a $10 a month subscription for the service—but it’s unclear if that’s just the cost of the car adapter. The report I link to isn’t very specific, so I expect more details soon.
