Viacom channels go dark on EchoStar in dispute over programming fees. Seattletimes.nwsource.com //  Death to Dish.  I've had with these companies thinking they can play games and leave me the customer screwed.   I changed from Direct to Dish when DirecTV stuck it too us and I'll make the transition again cause Dish seems to think we're pawns in the game.

Hall of Shame for Popup Ad Slammers. I just can't stand commercial websites that raise popup advertising. Today's Hall of Shame: The New York Times Scientific American CNN/Money Bloomberg USA Today Today's Hall of Praise: Forbes[1] Google News BBC News The Australian The Guardian The Register I will never (knowingly) surf to a NYT web page because they, without my permission, deem it necessary to launch popup ads (2-4 per page navigated to). I have no problem with sites obtaining ad revenue and building the ads... [Occasionally Connected] // Amen.  Bottom line is if you have good content you can sell legitimate advertising an don't need popups.  If you can't consistently do this, you must fall back to popups.  Some are capable of not using them but are just damn greedy.
