Today I delivered the second of two FIV+ cats this week that this fine organization will work to find homes for.  Their donate link is broke at the moment but I prodded them to fix that.   Snail mail works too, tell them you are sending on behalf of the kitty named Voodoo.

Looking to help a kitty down on their luck ?

I read the Trib too.  Sports section has been in decline for years but it still shines some days.  Today, I finally got to this little gem from a couple days back.  Warning tear jerker.  Mike Downey - Can't invent a tal like that of Tabasco Cat.

Why in the year that in Chicago and Boston truly appears to be "next year" does the steroid house of cards have to come tumbling down.  Remember Jim Lefevbre screaming at selfish Sammy in the dugout ?  Remeber the skinny little kid who came over from the White Sox ?  And if it has to come down, and it is coming down, it couldn't happen to a finer fella, Barry Bonds, come on down.  I say if the Giants are in the hunt in July that we trade him to the one team who is always wheeling and dealing.   It would be perfect, a one way ticket back to Pittsburgh.

Why read Sports Illustrated ?  I got away from it for years.  I'm back because they paid for my MLB audio last summer.   At first I didn't think I liked it but they extended it to keep me reading it.

So to the folks at Sports Illustrated, you can start sending the bills as it has been excellent lately.   The latest masterpiece of journalism to be found in SI: Rick Reilly - 2054: A Steroid Odyssey

I feel a need at this moment to type moveon.org.

George Carlin Genious: "The whole problem with this idea of obscenity and indecency, and all of these things — bad language and whatever — it's all caused by one basic thing, and that is: religious superstition. ... There's an idea that the human body is somehow evil and bad and there are parts of it that are especially evil and bad, and we should be ashamed. Fear, guilt and shame are built into the attitude toward sex and the body. ... It's reflected in these prohibitions and these taboos that we have." // Leave it to George, no not that George  to cut throught all the krap.  It's a freakin' breast it's time to move on.  We're losing soldiers daily in Iraq and hundreds of innocent people in Spain now to complete freakin' (theres that word again which means fuck, note Howard taught me this word).nuts killing people and all we can seem to do is talk about boobs and Howard's foul mouth.  I wasn't thrilled either but if the worst thing which happens to a little kid in life is a split second of Janet's right breast and Howard asking stupid questions using words you wouldn't use to talk to your mother to lame guests, the kid will be fine.  The US is doing it's usual total over reaction when a billion other things which should shock us just cruise along.
