Whenever I'm near one of the great lakes in Ontario, I like to make pollution jokes, because there's really no pollution in Manitoba, and it's sad to see what *you people* have done to your fine province :) ... Anyway, at Jen's rented cottage today in Southampton (on Lake Huron?) I was making some comment about watching out for medical waste washed up on the beach, when I looked down and saw a syringe lying there at my feet! I had just found some Genuine Ontario Great Lakes Medical Waste! Also, I found out that the smoke stacks visible in the distance on the smoggy south side of the lake were from a nuclear power plant (!).
It was a fun day and a nice trip anyway. Oh, and I got a birthday pie!
