Time Magazine’s article on the task of keeping the peace on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount contains a line pandering to anti-Zionists and anti-Semites. The article states: On a brilliant fall morning, a group of devout Jewish men strolled slowly along the site's ancient stone walls, escorted by armed Israeli police, toward the base of the gleaming Dome of the Rock, where Jews believe Solomon and Herod built the First and Second Temples. Jews believe? There are historical accounts of the Temples by Jewish, Babylonian and Roman sources. Physical evidence such as the West Wall and other remains of the Second Temple Complex. Together with the religious accounts in both the Jewish and Christian bibles and the often ignored but clear passages in the Koran that point to the Temple Mount as the site of the Jewish Temples what is unclear about the location of the Jewish Temples? Isn’t like saying "Arlington House where Americans believe that General Robert E. Lee lived"? 11:56:35 PM ![]() |
