Highway deaths hit 11-year high in 2001 [CNN - US] Translation "Pedestrian and motorcycle deaths rose". Not surprising given the increase in motorcycle sale along with the relaxing of helemt laws. Pedestrians are hard to guess. Maybe people are more likely to die when hit by SUVs rather than Hondas. Also wonder how many people were using cell phones when they hit pededtrrians.
