The ICFP 2002 programming competition results have been announced:
- First prize: team TAPLAS (submission 107). Team members: Yutaka Oiwa, Eijiro Sumii, and Tatsurou Sekiguchi.
- Second prize: team Radical Too (submission 161). Team members: Daniel Adkins, Josef Rokicki, and Tomas Rokicki.
- Judges' prize (which was awarded to the best lightning entry): team OaSys (submission 5), with the sole team member Terry Stewart.
The winning Team used Objective Caml, and the judges prize team used Python. Interestingly for a functional programming competition, the 2nd place entry used C.
